Holy Days of Obligations

These days are designated to commemorate vital events in the life of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the saints. These days provide opportunities for Catholics to deepen their faith and spiritual understanding. The term “obligation” implies a moral and canonical requirement for Catholics to participate in Mass on these days unless excused for a serious reason.
